This is the fifth in the Sullivan's Crossing series. Hannah becomes a legal guardian to Noah, the five year old son of her late friend Erin. As they both adjust to the loss of his mother and her friend, they vacation at an Air B&B property on a lake in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Noah has cerebral palsy, wears braces and uses crutches. Owen, the landlord, meets them as his business travel was cancelled. The three develop an initially awkward friendship, and as their two week vacation winds down, Owen convinces them to stay a few extra weeks. Noah is getting far more exercise outdoors, and the hope is he'll be stronger and will not need to use the braces and crutches much longer. Hannah and Owen are a couple, and look for a formal adoption of Noah. Noah's maternal grandmother petitions the court to become his legal guardian, causing all sorts of problems between Owen and Hannah, as well as for Noah. They all need a happy ending.
