Soren can only hope that Dany isn’t a part of any of Piedras’ trouble.“Real Trouble” is an outstanding start to a new series “West Coast Forensic” by Elle Keaton. Keaton made an excellent choice in selecting Dany and Soren as the best two characters to get this new series started. The plot is well done and presents a deep focus on investigation techniques and the persistence of Birdy and Soren to solve the crimes. It’s not without, danger, suspects, fast paced action, humor and just the right amount of steamy moments.Dany and Soren continued as unforgettable characters from the first time they met in “When It Rains” from the “Accidental Roots” aka “Shielded Hearts” series.Birdy Flynn has been an up and coming character in the “Hamarsson & Dempsey” aka “Veiled Intentions” series. She get’s the well earned spotlight it this new novel.As always there’s an abundance of secondary characters and some will hopefully get a story: Devon Flynn, Cody Prescott, Kim Carr and Winston Parsons, Shay Delacombe, Claribel Delacombe and Ryder Mann. I still love it when Adam Klay makes a cameo, even if he only has a one-liner!Elle Keaton introduced the excellent series “Accidental Roots” aka “Shielded Hearts” in 2017 and I’ve been a fan ever since. With the start of “Hamarsson & Dempsey” aka “Veiled Intentions” and the mix of Skagit and Piedras Island, I’m hoping “West Coast Forensic” is a big success. I’m ready for book two “Real Danger” coming in October 2021.
